The highest level of cover
If any factory-fitted part of your smart car suffers any kind of unexpected mechanical or electrical failure. We do not want you to be left with the cost of repairs.
Tier 1 cover is our most comprehensive smart extended warranty option. It covers the majority of mechanical and electrical components in your car, as well as the repair costs.
When things go wrong, our comprehensive Tier 1 extended warranty also pays towards a replacement vehicle for up to 7 days in a 12 month period and overnight accommodation if you need it.
If you encounter a problem with your smart car, all you need to do is get in touch with your nearest authorised smart retailer and let them know that your car is covered. They’ll ensure that your car is seen by qualified technicians and, if repairs are required, that only genuine smart parts are used.
What does Tier 1 cover?
If any of the factory-fitted mechanical or electrical parts of your smart vehicle fail, we cover the cost of replacing them and the cost of labour to fit them. In a nutshell, you’ll be covered for:

The maximum benefit is the purchase price paid for the insured vehicle payable in one 12 month policy period (annual) or 12 consecutive monthly policies following renewal.

There are a few things that your smart extended warranty will not cover.
- Mileage Limit - Tier 1 isn’t available for vehicles with a mileage of over 100,000 miles at the time of purchasing the extended warranty, please check your odometer before you buy.
- Exclusions - smart extended warranty is designed to cover the more costly parts and repairs, but even our most comprehensive warranty can’t protect against everything. Some of our exclusion include cosmetics like paintwork, upholstery and trim.
